A new year dawns...

Happy new year everyone!!!

So, 2006 has been laid to rest, the godawful New Year's smses have stopped coming, pissed people are safely home and sleeping (and we pray for those who were unfortunate enough to have been driving last night), and we can now make mistakes on important documents by dating them 2006 for the next few weeks....

Yay! 2007 is here!!!

Chickens, I must tell that I'm happy the last year is over. Those of you who know me will know that last year was my first year studying architecture. This was awesome in many ways, in that I really really got huge creative satisfaction out of the degree, have met some of the most incredible like-minded individuals, and now feel that I really am on a path to professional bliss.

However, even though it was first year of the degree, it was so freaking demanding! I cannot tell you how many nights we were up till 5am working on projects, rushing for deadlines, and depriving our bodies endlessly of much needed sleep. Seriously, we'd be given a couple of weeks to design these hectic buildings, and we'd have do so many huge drawings for them... unbelievable. But, the satisfaction of that work is amazing, I have to say.

Which brings me to New Year's resolution number 1:
Do not wait till week 3 to start a 4 week project!!! hehe

Friendship wise 2006 was very interesting as well. Of course there have been the lovely people I have met in architecture, some of whom I have gotten really close to. There's Angela, who I wish was a man, as I know she's my soul mate in soooo many ways :) There's Nicky, who I also absolutely love and adore, and will also always be a dear dear friend to me. And dear dear Darren, the loveliest sweetest boy imaginable. And they'll all be damn fine architects someday. World, watch out!!! hehe

Also, out of varsity, I have some really incredible people. Willie, you are wonderful my boy. Tom, I hope our friendship grows even stronger. And Chermy, conqueror of gorgeous men everywhere, you are my rock! I love you all!

New Year's resolution number 2:
Focus more on the beautiful wondrous friends I have... I'm so lucky to have them.

Love life? Hmmm... Well, it's been interesting as well. I have had two pretty serious relationships this year (one resulting in me failing maths this year... long story, thank god that's over!!! hehe), both quite intense... and dated a few people inbetween, all very nice. I've met someone really nice (and incredibly gorgeous!) recently though, and would like more... but let's see what happens. It's a new year... C'est la vie...
Oh, and seeing as this blog might become fairly public and I am not one for openly embarrassing people, I shall never mention boy's names...

New Year's resolution number 3:
Avoid dating pretentious a**holes... date someone nice :)

Alas bunnies, I have to go and cook lunch for me and dad...

Appreciate dad more, he's incredible!
